Second in a series: Age-Related Vision Loss

There are many ways to continue enjoying books, news, and other publications even as vision changes. All you need is a library card! Come join us to discover the many resources available to help you keep reading and stay connected.

Representatives from the DC Public Library’s Center for Accessibility will be on hand to explain their remarkable offerings:

  • Audiobooks
  • Accessible computer technology
  • Free Library by Mail delivery
  • And a wide range of instructive classes throughout the year at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library and neighborhood branches.

The Library Center’s presenters can help you apply for a DC Library card on the spot, and can assist in completing forms to register for the National Library Service for the Blind and Disabled, including their audio book program.

Curtis Richards, GPV’s volunteer leader for this series, will also explain the free dial-up news services offered by The Washington Ear and NFB-Newsline, and how to register for them.
