This event marks the launch of a new Glover Park Village program. Anyone who loves books is invited to join our Books Out Loud! group, with a special invitation to readers with visual impairments.

Local author Elizabeth Bruce will read aloud a short chapter from And Silent Left the Place, her award-winning debut novel, published when she was in her mid-fifties. She is keen to talk with us about her Texas roots, her creative experiences, and how, in mid-life, she began to write literary fiction. Join us for a lively conversation!

We’ll announce our Books Out Loud! schedule and more details in January. At our future gatherings, volunteers will read short works aloud, encourage discussion, and choose the titles they want to hear in future meetings.
